Born and raised in a musical family in the the heart of northern New Jersey - Lydia Samuel has been surrounded with music all her life. She credits her hometown’s diversity as a reason for her love for all music styles - and aims to incorporate it her own music. She has been singing since she was a child almost everywhere - in church, school talent shows, and on Youtube - which has grown her love for performing. In 2022, Lydia was featured on Season 20 of American Idol. With the positive support of judge and American pop-star Katy Perry, Lydia was able to push herself towards finding her true artistic sound.

As she continues to build her artistry - she draws songwriting inspiration from her own past, dreams, and stories of those close to her. She hopes to inspire others to by creating a way for emotions to release as they listen to her songs.
